January 24, 2020 – Dr. Rob O’Brien gives an interview on The Scientist’s Channel about the analytical processes, testing protocols, and challenges in meeting new regulations for cannabis. Cannabis testing: Overcoming challenges in edibles analysis.

June 24, 2019 – Supra Research and Development took possession of our new head office at Suite 106,  2293 Leckie Rd, Kelowna, BC V1X 6Y5. 

June 7, 2019 – Supra Research and Development becomes a pioneer member of AOAC’s Cannabis Analytical Science Program (CASP) to provide support and guidance on the development of new and improved analytical methods for the hemp and cannabis sectors. 

May 31, 2019 – Supra Research and Development received a Health Canada License allowing us to:

  1. cultivate industrial hemp for the following forms: flowers, leaves, branches, plant.
  2. sell industrial hemp: flowering heads, leaves.
  3. import seed.
  4. possess industrial hemp grain for the purpose of cleaning.
  5. to possess grain for the purpose of processing it.

May 1, 2019 – Supra Research and Development ratified a deal with Nanalysis Corp. to formally become a Distributor of their Benchtop NMR Instruments. See http://www.nanalysis.com/

March 1, 2019 – Supra Research and Development agreed to a license agreement to secure laboratory space on the UBC Okanagan Campus for our advanced Analytical Instrumentation Laboratory.  The address for this site is; Room 304, 1088 Discovery Avenue, Reichwald Health Sciences Centre, Kelowna, BC, V1V 1V7. 

February 1, 2019 – Supra Research and Development reactivated our ISO 17025 Accreditation for our Advanced Analytical Instrumentation Laboratory on the UBC Okanagan Campus.

October 1, 2018 – Supra Research and Development restarts operation on the UBC Okanagan Campus.

June 2018 – Supra Research and Development and Supra THC Services both receive ISO 17025 Accreditation that included Cannabis specific methods in our scope, becoming the first labs in Canada to do so. 

March 1, 2017 – Supra THC Services is acquired by Valens GroWorks Corp. in a Share Exchange Agreement.  Supra Research and Development takes on role as an incubation shell for Supra THC Services.

December 22, 2016 – Supra Research and Development receives verification from Health Canada that the Controlled Substance Dealer’s License for Supra THC Services has been granted and will be in effect on January 1, 2017.
